Makes you wonder who the real aggressor is

what exactly are the ack ack guns meant to shoot? BDR er ki plane ase naki?
[Reply]
bdr may not hv plane/s but what about choppers, at least these have been found to hv flown occasionally. hence, ack ack is quite essential under such crucial circumstances.
especially now that, dusk is just beyond the horizon, wishing for all the best.

BDR has choppers?

One of the photographs (after the one showing a bullet proof vest cameraman) shows men in khaki with US pattern helmet (PASGT), eye protection, and sidearm holster though the flak jacket looks non-US issue. These are obviously not regular army, nor do they look like RAB (not wearing the goofy black bandana and non-ballistic eyeglasses). Does anyone have any idea who they are?
Still don’t understand the bit about the AAA, unless they plan to depress and fire at the BDR over open sights. That could get messy…

The chain of events that are now unfolding are a sign of the increased unrest borne with the recent elections. I can only hope that civilian casualty is kept to a minimum.

Ack ack guns are guns none the less, which can do damage. And I dont think the Bdr have choppers. the army might want to have a psychological edge. Meaning they just might want them to be there just for show….anyways, i don’t see this ending any other way but though violence>> > revolution, mutiny….. we all know what happens next….

@Shahed Aziz:
They are members of a SWAT team:

@Bangla:
What Swat team? your link does not work so I can’t see what you’re presenting but who are those people? they dont look like regular army, their guns look far better than most of our troops, i think i spotted a m4 carbine on one of them; so which branch of our armed forces did these gi joes come from?

I don’t think the 20 millimeters are necessary. however, my parents saw around 100 APCs and ~20 tanks rolling their way towards the compound from mirpur road. something big is going to go down and it won’t be good.

@Bangla
I just saw the pictures. “Proshikkhonprapto SWAT”. Looks like we’re getting some US adivsors somewhere. They have some way to go. Especially as the SWAT don’t have laser designators, throat mikes, flame retardant clothing, gloves, …
How are a few SWAT team members going to subdue what seems like a generalized rebellion? Ditto tanks and AAA. 20 tanks is about a 4-5 squadrons, I shudder to think what happened to the roads.

3 kilometres around pilkhana is now like a barren land,cos all the residents there are told by da army to stay aside from that three kilos.the place’s cordoned by army now.no press worker is allowed to enter within 1 kilometer.what u guys think they’ll do to those BDR jawans?
the ack ack and machine guns aren’t necessary,i think.the BDR is still now with 3not3.
hope this bloody mutiny will stop soon.
[Reply]
the mutiny is over. now the purge begins, imo.
